Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church

The Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church is located in the town of Debre Zeit, Ethiopia. Debre Zeit (meaning “Mount of Olives”) is located south east of Addis Ababa and is home to the Ethiopia Airforce.

The Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church currently has approximately 1200+ active members and plays a symbolic role in evangelizing and discipling within their community. Their strategy is to take a holistic approach to God’s great commission by living out the Word of God and engaging God’s people through community, outreach, evangelism and discipleship.

The Kale Heywet Church is one of the prominent and fruitful evangelical denominations in Ethiopia. The pioneers in the Church were the native Ethiopians and SIM (Sudan Interior Mission) missionaries who have sacrificed their precious lives for the sake of great commission.

The Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church comprises of 6.7 million members and nearly 8,000 local Churches across the nation. The Kale Heywet Church exists to serve God through proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Ethiopia and beyond so that people may have eternal life, become Christ’s disciples, and be fulfilled spiritually, socially, mentally, and physically so that they become salt and light for the glory of God.

Church service is between 10:00 – 12:30 AM on Sunday.
